Since my Barry’s passing in 2020, I’ve been able to spend more time in my home of origin. This spring-fed pond features a spillway that leads to the Chesapeake Bay. When captured at just the right moment at dawn, the reflection of the forest on the water is spectacular.

The Spillway at Dawn was a new challenge for me. The movement of the water and the shifting light changes the appearance of the trees’ “reflection”. . . It’s not a true mirror at all.
