The Path Less Traveled
60” x 36” Oil on Canvas
The Atlantic Ocean has always been a powerful magnet for me. Its salty tang permeated the old bricks of my home town and fed the creeks and rivers that we water skied, crabbed and fished. Its ambiance is amazingly consistent, from north to south.
The Path Less Traveled captures a moment during our last vacation together in Ocean City, N.J. A close look reveals a rather broken path that veers to the right from the well-worn trail to the beach. My husband, a prolific inventor, and I chose to traverse this path - never trod before – one full of the highest of hills and the deepest of valleys, of joy and promise.
I love the sky, the lighting and the tiny yellow flowers that dot this landscape.

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
